The American Hebrew Academy is the only international Jewish college prep boarding school in the world. The Academy inspires intellectually adventurous teenagers from 31 states and 35 countries to pursue excellence in a one-of-a-kind academic environment.

The American Hebrew Academy is an elite school with an internationally acclaimed faculty and staff, state-of-the-art facilities, the world’s largest closed loop geothermal heating and cooling system, and a stunning 100-acre (40 hectare) lakefront campus in Greensboro, North Carolina. Graduates are regularly admitted to prestigious colleges and universities and go on to positions of leadership in business, medicine, law, finance, social service, and the Jewish community in the United States, Israel, and around the world.

Where is the American Hebrew Academy?

The third largest city in North Carolina with a population of 270,000, Greensboro is best known for its warm southern hospitality and surrounding forests. The Jewish population numbers approximately 3,000 people.

Greensboro is centrally located in the Piedmont region of the state situated between the coast and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our campus is a 10 minute drive to Piedmont Triad International Airport (“GSO”) and we provide airport shuttle service for students.

Other nearby airports include Raleigh-Durham (“RDU”) – one hour from campus by car and Charlotte (“CLT”) – 2 hours from campus by car.
